Summary of Romeo and Juliet. 20.01.11 Prince Escalus, the ruler of Verona, tries to prevent conflict so says that there will be death to the individual who disturbs the peace. Romeo the son of Montague, runs into his cousin who tells him to move on, Romeo cannot. Paris, a kinsman asks for Julliet’s hand in marriage, Julliet’s dad tells him too wait for two years, Capulet, Julliet’s dad, has a feast. Romeo goes but only Rosaine. Romeo speaks to Juliet and they have a big attraction, they kiss, without knowing each other’s names. The two families become upset and annoyed at each other. Romeo leaps over a wall to a garden; he doesn’t want to leave Juliet. Juliet calls his name. They exchange love vows. Romeo goes to his friend who secretly marries the young couple. Romeo and Paris duel. The marriage is tomorrow. The maid finds Juliet apparently dead. Romeo kills himself with poison so he doesn’t have to live without Juliet. Juliet finds Romeo dead and kisses his poisoned lips and stabs herself with his dagger. Capulet and Montague agree to stand gold statues of their children, side by side in a new peaceful place of Verona.
